Rules and Regulations

Residence

All selected candidates (except male candidates) are compulsorily required to reside in the hostel provided for their stay adjacend to the Hospital complex.. The students will be directly under the disciplinary control of the Principal of the institution and will strictly abide by the Rules and Regulations of the institution. STUDENTS WILL BE LIABLE FOE DISMISSAL TIME FOR MISCONDUCT, INEFFICIENCY OR NEGLECT OF AT ANY DUTY, in accordance with the Rules and Regulations of the Institution read and accepted by them. The students are eligible for ordinary medical aid, free of charges.

Discipline

1. Prior to admission, each student shall have to undergo a Physical examination by the doctor of the Institution and found unfit admission may be rejected.

2. Student nurses are forbidden to accept gifts of any kind from patients, bystanders or the relatives of the patient.

3. Student nurses shall not bring any jewellery except a small ear-ring for use. The institution shall not in any way be held responsible for theft or loss of any personal belongings of the students. If any loss is sustained the matter should be reported immediately to the Principal or Warden.

4. On no account the student nurses shall be absent herself from duty without obtaining pervious permission from the Principal/ Vice Principal or any other competent authority authorized for the purpose.

5. Students are permitted to visit the hospital wards or any department, including O.P.D. or office only when they are on duty. Students shall secure permission from the Principal to visit relatives in wards.

6. Student nurses shall receive authorized visitors only at their rooms and surroundings.

Library

Books are to be used with extreme care. If any book issued to any student is lost or damaged, the cost for replacement or for the rectification of the same, shall be realized from the caution money of the student concerned. The amount thus debited from the caution money shall be reimbursed by the student within a period of three months.

Vacation

Vacation is assigned at such time found suitable for the School of Nursing and for the uninterrupted working of the hospital. Students who go home should return on time for duty.

Leave

Students are allowed ten days sick leave each year which is not cumulative, All other absences apart from regular annual vacation will have to made up by the student before completing the course. LEAVE FOR ATTENDING SPECIAL FESTIVALS, WEDDING etc. SHALL NOT BE GRANTED.

Fees

Fees and expenses will be as per the rules and regulations, subjected to change without prior notice.

Note

All the fees should be paid in advance, at the time of admission. All other fees except caution deposit and mess advance paid by the student shall not be refunded, if the student has to discontinue the course or in the event of termination.
