The Neuro surgery Department of the Modern Hospital is the first full fledged Neuro surgical unit in the coastal area of Thrissur and Ernakulam Districts. It is headed by Dr. P.V. Sugathan, MS, MCh. who is practicing for 3 decades. In addition to this, he is holding the position as Medical Superintendent of this hospital. The department features, the state-of-the-art, neuro surgical operation theatre, fully equipped 5 bed Intensive care unit with critical care ventillator, Multi para monitor, bedside monitors, Pulse oxymeter, Infusion pump etc. It also comprises specially trained nurses, Centralized oxygen supply and suction units, CRANIOTOM and advanced operating microscope. The hospital is also having in house whole body CT Scan.
